Hovey's Bear Trap Resort is in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, located on the beautiful east side of Indian Lake, approximately 4 miles northwest of Manistique, Michigan. Manistique is at the northern border of Lake Michigan's shore. Here's something to think about - if you stand on Lake Michigan's shore in Chicago and look north, if you could see across the distance, you'd possibly be looking at Manistique!
You'll stay in an authentic, old fashioned log cabin, each with its own unique identity and cozy interior. Most cabins were built in the early 1900's. Although Hovey's rental cabins are now equipped with modern amenities ... electricity, hot water, gas heat and indoor bathrooms ... the quaint and rustic feel of the original cabins in the north woods prevails.
